Al Waha International School is a private, licensed day school, running from KG1 to Grade 12, and follows a curriculum based on the guidelines provided by the National Curriculum of England and Wales. The senior students of the school in Grades 9 and 10 are trained for the Cambridge-based International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations, and those in Grades 11 and 12 are trained for the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (A Level) examinations. For the purpose of these examinations, Al Waha is an attached centre of the British Council, Jeddah.
Al Waha is a regular member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), and in May 2008, the school was successfully accredited by the US-based Commission on Trans-regional and International Accreditation (CITA).
